is me ranting about the new Avatar vids from NYCC. XD *shot*
btw, they can be seen here if you haven't seen them but want to.

Also, I am a Zutarian, so if you're a Kataanger or something else, do NOT fight with me about this. I'm in no mood to argue, and I'm merely stating where I stand and my own theories. Feel free to debate some of my theories, but do NOT pick a fight about Zutara. That's my ship, and if you start a fight over something as trivial as that, then you'll be happy if all I do is hide your comment. The last thing you want is my undivided attention in a fight.

That's all I needed to see to be satisfied with my ship!
I mean, even if they don't get together, they're obviously gonna be good friends by the end of the series, and as long as that happens, I'm good. Because everybody used to say "There's no way they could ever be friends. D< There's no way Katara could ever even like him - she hates his guts!"
But OBVIOUSLY.. that isn't the case.
She likes him enough to hug him, and he likes her enough to hug her back. Not to mention that they go on a mission together, and they don't mind sitting next to each other or even being near each other.

omfg I'm so excited to see how this plays out.

Especially about the hug. >w< I think what led to that was prolly Zuko finally pulling Katara to the side and being like "Hey, I need to talk to you.." And apologize and stuff about everything in Ba Sing Se. But really, I don't know..

NOW THEN. Onto theories!
After seeing the main clip, the main preview and stuff, and seeing the comet so much..
It led me to think that maybe the real problem Aang is gonna have to face is not Ozai, and it is not Azula. But it's the comet itself. If that comet hits the ground, wouldn't it destroy so much land and possibly a town or more?? It looks huge. D: It'd cause some serious damage. So if that's the case, Aang can't let it touch the ground. He's the only one that will be able to stop it from hitting the ground - because he's the Avatar.
I'm actually thinking he might die in his attempt to stop the comet. I think he'll succeed in destroying it, yes, but I don't think he'll make it out alive.

And I think he'll go out in his Avatar state. So what would that mean? That the Avatar wouldn't be incarnated anymore, correct? They did place extreme emphasis on "If you die while in the Avatar state, the Avatar will cease to be born into this world" etc. Which that would ultimately usher in a time of peace, in my opinion. Of course, after a long time there will be another revolution, and another war, but that's for another time, in the distant future. For the characters we know and care about in the world of Avatar, it would mean happily ever after. The ultimate sacrifice for the happiness and well-being of his friends, and for the world. That seems something that an Avatar would do, doesn't it?

And for those of you that don't think that Aang could die because it's a kid's cartoon, I mean, c'mon. Kids stuff is getting rougher and rougher - look at Harry Potter. Harry actually DIED for a while, but had the choice to come back. Aang wouldn't have the choice to come back, no. BUT there's always the Spirit World. It seems to be a parallel almost of the real world, so why couldn't he be happy in the afterlife anyway, hm? Roku and the others seem to be fine. Lots of other people have already died as well, just not completely certain, graphic deaths. There's also always the fact that eventually, all his friends will die and join him in the Spirit World. So eventually, everybody would be together again and happy, am I right? Ultimately, maybe it will teach kids to not be scared of death, or scared of losing someone.

Not to mention that while this show is actually intended for kids and preteens, I believe the majority of its fanbase is now teens and adults. My little siblings don't even keep up with it - I know more about it than they do, and they do like it, they're just not insanely crazy about it... like I am. lol

So yes, my ultimate theory is that Aang will die facing the comet, not Ozai, and not Azula. But that's just my opinion. I think he wil fight Ozai yes, I think Zuko and Katara will probably fight Azula. But Aang has to take care of that comet as well, if it is truly meant to hit the earth.

In fact, I kind of believe the words "The Last Airbender" were a foreshadowing of him dying in the series or in a following movie or something. After all, if he's the last, then that means that he will have no children. I know at the start of the series, it certainly didn't seem like it, because he was the last known Airbender, but as we get closer to the end of the series, I'm beginning to think he'll always have been the last Airbender.
